Stove - an indispensable device that is in every home. Among them are popular gas. Along with electric, their advantages are the low cost of operation (gas hits the budget less when paying for utility bills than electricity) and the speed of cooking. But the use of gas, a highly flammable material, entails danger. An irresponsible approach to operation can lead to serious consequences.
How long can a gas stove last?
As with most household appliances, the Decree of the Government No. 720 affects the life of gas stoves. According to it, they relate to devices that, after the expiration date, constitute a danger. According to this decree, for such equipment, as well as its components, the manufacturer is obliged to indicate the term of operation. During its course, it should service equipment for free, release spare parts for it, be liable if property or person was damaged due to marriage.

Nevertheless, despite the legislation, for some people the stove has been working properly for only ten years, while for others its service can drag out to forty. The stove comes into complete disrepair in the following cases:
- when holes appear in the oven (this is called burnout);

Which extends the service life, which, on the contrary, reduces
To increase, or rather not reduce, the service life of the stove allows its regular maintenance. It usually includes the following actions:
- visual inspection for malfunctions;
- replacement of damaged burners;
- reinstalling the gas hose (usually it is suitable for work for 30 years, but with aggressive use it may become unusable much earlier);
- faucet lubrication;
- adjustment of the oven door (incomplete closing will result in additional costs);
- diagnostics of the health of the protection system.
Significantly reduces the life of the gas stove negligence by the user. Rough handling of the equipment, as well as its untimely repair, can cause the need to replace the device before the expiration date. In this case, the manufacturer will not owe you anything: he is obliged to repair at his own expense only the equipment in which work a manufacturing defect was discovered.
If in the days of the USSR, the state of gas household appliances was monitored by a special organization that regularly conducts diagnostics in all apartments, now all responsibility lies with the user.
